How this type of ticketing works

Water parks and municipal aquatic centers have hard capacity limits set by lifeguard ratios and pool size. Advance sales let you hit those numbers without turning families away at the gate on the hottest day of the year.

TixSimple sells day admission by date, with an optional morning or afternoon session split. Cabanas and shaded loungers sell from an interactive map, and every ticket becomes a QR code your gate staff scan on any phone.

What to set up in TixSimple

    1. 1Create a season event with a dated ticket type for daily admission.
    2. 2Set the daily cap to your safe attendance number.
    3. 3Add child, adult, senior and spectator pricing tiers.
    4. 4Sell cabanas and premium loungers from an interactive map of the deck.
    5. 5Add season passes with a limited early-bird tier.
    6. 6Create scanner keys per gate and per rental check-in point.

    Fee example: Adult day admission

A $28 ticket carries a TixSimple platform fee of $0.69 (1.3% + $0.33). If you sell 600 tickets, the total platform fee is $414. Stripe processing is separate and you choose whether to pass fees to the buyer or absorb them.

    Groups, parties and residents

Birthday parties and group outings can be sold as bundles: a party package ticket that includes a set number of admissions and a reserved cabana, with the party host's details collected at checkout.

Municipal centers with resident pricing can issue resident-only coupon codes or upload a resident email list for special pricing that applies automatically at checkout.

    • Resident or member pricing from an uploaded email list
    • Party packages bundling admissions and a reserved space
    • Season passes with member-only add-on discounts

    Frequently asked questions

Can I cap how many guests enter per day?

Yes. Each date has its own inventory, so once the day sells out the park stops selling and guests can pick a different date.

    How do cabana rentals work?

Upload a deck layout as an interactive ticket map and sell each cabana as its own space. Guests see exactly which cabana they are booking and it locks on purchase.

Can residents get a lower price automatically?

Yes. Upload a CSV of resident email addresses with special pricing, and the discount applies when a matching email is used at checkout.

Do we need special hardware to scan tickets?

No. Any phone or tablet with a camera opens the scanner link. Each gate gets its own scanner key so attendance reports break down by entrance.
