How this type of ticketing works
Museums often balance free general admission with ticketed special exhibits, member previews, and fundraising events. TixSimple lets you run all of these from one platform, with separate ticket types and sale windows for each exhibit.
Visitors buy online, choose a date and time, and receive a QR code by email. Members can enter a promo code or use email-based special pricing so their discount is applied automatically. Donors can add a donation ticket with a suggested amount and minimum.

Can we offer free admission and still track visitors?
Yes. Create a free ticket type with a per-slot capacity. TixSimple does not charge platform fees on free tickets, and you still collect names and emails for your mailing list.
How do memberships work?
Upload a CSV of member emails in the discount section. When a member buys with that email, their discount applies automatically. You can also create a public coupon code for members to enter at checkout.
Can we sell tickets for a member preview?
Yes. Create a separate ticket type or event for the preview, set the capacity, and limit it to member coupon codes or email lists.
